f23 into a ek? possible?
hey so i was just thinking about stuff while sitting in class, anyone done a f23 swap into a ek hatch? i dont own a ek yet, i hopefully can get one soon. But anyways i thought a f23 swap into a ek would be pretty awesome seeing how u get 2.3ltrs of displacement, and its an iron block correct? so if you were to boost that, i would think u lay down some mad power. I've read about the f23/h23 with the h22head, but im interested in what a sohc can do, a BIG sohc with boost. What mounts would u use? just a thought but any info would be nice TIA

Yes you can do it.
The motors have allot of potential, allot more than the "masses" give it credit for.
You would use the same mounts to put an H motor in your car. (Hasport EKH2 mounts)
BTW- Getting ready to put a F23 in a CRX

There are a few 6th Gen Accord guys with Boosted f23s. From what I've read, there have been a few issues boosting the motor (ring lands). I'd see it as a cool swap because of the tq (153ft lbs) and cheap price ($100-$400 all day). Good luck

Correct. They are complete garbage, and don't like to see big numbers.

F22/23 engines are very misunderstood. The superior head port layout offers amazing flow results and potential for reliable power. I simply love those engines!

Yea I just notice it was in 06.
any way Ive done one in an EG back in 04. Its been so long I cant remember if you'll have to swap out the driver side block mount for an OLDER F mount to accommodate any swap mount. Innovative might have what you need. I'm not sure that Hasport has the mounts for the "newer" bracket, I could be wrong.
You will modify your existing harness as most swaps. The intake features a Three wire IACV. Swap manifolds to an OLDER say 94-97 F22 VTEC or use ROSKO's Euro R IACV adapter
