Default F22 in eg vtec problem

I have a eg with a f22 in it. I think it is a 99 accord ulev motor. Anyway, when the motor is first started and warm enough to for vtec to engage it really pulls good. But after driving more when vtec hits it just not there. You can tell it is engaging but there's no power. Anybody got ideas?

I don't have a gauge but I bet that has something to do with it.
