Default F20C FF EG/Del Sol

What is the possibility of seeing this happening?

The cost of the motor realitively new from hmotors offsets the cost of building a custom header and mounts

I can use the stock intake manifold right?

What troubles would I run into with wiring, meeting up the tranny/clutch/flywheel?

What axels?

What type of money for this complete project, is the s2k obd2?

If you are looking at front wheel drive. You would need a fwd tranny so I know some one got a k seires to fit. and then you need custom motor mounts. You would need a custom harness and exhaust.

It would be a decent amount of money.

I dont think this would be a smart idea.

Just build a nice k series or h series. its easier and its documented

I am not looking for easier soulution to a power problem...

I am looking for a money draining challenging project that will yeild a highly satisfying and incredible result.

H / K series... no thanks!

I have made up my mind this will work.

Any suggestions to help this project roll along?

I am sorry this is a dumb Idea. You can get more hp out of the k for less money. You want challenging and highly satisfying then do a j series v6 and build it with 3.5L internals. Then I will be impressed.

But to throw tons of money into something that the only thing it will be is unique.

Time and Money can solve a lot of problems

Best choices would be K series trans and a F20C I believe 2 of the bolts line up perfect which would be enough to make a adapter plate...possible yes...

F20C Del Sol.. who can offer up some knowlege

I have been talking to Bisi Ezerioha, I will beg him to make me a header

My best-friend is a mechanical draftsman we will fab up some custom billet mounts on the CNC machine

The only thing left to chance is the harness and axels... I might attack that my self, I have never chopped one but I might get a little help.. and i know of a company that makescustom axels

I know either a TSX/RSX tranny will work/ I would perfer the 5spd

The location of Radiator, spill tank/ Oil catch can, battery, brakebooster are all still relativly the same..

I am hoping to slightly angle the radiator to improve airflow and run a dry sump for lubrication

These are just rambling don't quote me yet, I promise some photo documentation of the donor vehicle and massive parts cache soon enough

I guess I am starting to see which direction I want to go

The very proposition of running a K or ITR is very appealing, especially with a thirst for power. Just realize orchistrating a finite handling balance is
1/2 the battle if not all of it, the driver and controled inputs to the shifter, pedals and steering are the other 1/2

A lotus weighted, f20c powered, aesteticly pleasing Del Sol that showcases topnotch form, function as well as attention to detail, saftey and drivablitlity is a formidable task to say the least.

I am ready to approach this project, I now need honda-techs combined knowlege
If certain members can convert del sols into all wheel drive rally cars and RWD's then using an engine with plently of knowlege about it and knowing that is has been done by someone else is fueling my urge to continue in this direction.

f20c motor
RSX tranny?
bisimoto header

+the intake maifold opens on the other side opposed to that of a K series, this change allows shorter/wider intake runner, effective resonance tuning coupled with the perfect geometry of this application and power/displacement co-efficient of the engine makes me

I am stoked just thinking about it.. I cant even compose my thoughts!!!

The K and the f20c have the intake on the same side. If you are looking at the crank pulley on both engines the intake is on the right. The motor is going to be mounted with the intake runners in the front of the car and the exhaust on the rear. You will have problems with the hood if you start doing crazy intake manifold deigns.
