F20B/H23A VTEC Dizzy pin out diagram works with 2a harness

I added the colors for obd1 and attached pic from ff squad for obd2b.

This info took me a long time to acquire so Id figure id port it up since it worked for a few swaps. Pretty sure the h23a vtec is the same as well as I used the same harness for that engine as well its going back 2 years though. Sorry for the cheap drawing but should be enough for you to get the idea and colors of what wire.

Remember the RPM signal needs to wired into the cap and ground it. Huge shout out to Bense for his h2d-f2d swap as without him or his friends insight on the thread I wouldn't have been able to do this as I know he was super frustrated at this.

The alternator colors were a direct swap just needed to extend them
Plenty of others have the other wiring swaps and work arounds ff-squad.com
The IACV was a huge pain and I had to block it off drill out two holes and connect some hoses to a relocation kit with the civic IACV. A pain but it did the job.

I tried to do them side by side by the site removed unneeded spaces :(

Re: F20B/H23A VTEC Dizzy pin out to OBD2A harness

I am not sure if this is the correct thread to post this particular issue but i am going to try.

I recently swapped in a H23a vtec bluetop engine into my 98 cf4 accord which came initially with the F20b bluetop SiR engine. So my car is automatic. I have had since thereafter been experiencing significant 'sputtering" issues. The car does not accelerate as it should at all. It sometimes stalls too. I have checked/replaced fuel pump and filter. No change. My car was running on the f20b injectors with the f20b ecu of which i changed to the correct h23 injectors and h23 ecu. Same issue. I swapped out distributor, changed plugs and plug wires. Still no change. I am at the end of my rope and it is frustrating to say the least. Can anyone assist in this diagnosis and hopefully, solution? Thanks.

Re: F20B/H23A VTEC Dizzy pin out to OBD2A harness

In the future start a new thread for issues will get more people to help than an old thread. Is the h23 vtec? Is the ecu from an obd1 h23. Where the injectors on the engine or did you get the us version which require a resistor box. Do you have any engine codes? Have you checked compression on the motor. Try to switch the map sensor and tps sensor plug has caused me a similiar issue in past. If you get it to idle normal take a water bottle and stay around the intake manifold see if it drops in rpm to find a vac leak.
