Exaust for a h22a 92 cx swap?
I am sorta curious as to which exaust you buy for a 92 civic CX that has a H22a in it?
On my 92CX the cat converter was right on the headers, then I look at the service manual for it and it shows another version of that car that has the catalytic converter close to where the shifter assembly is underneath the car.
I'm not sure if there is a bolt on method for making the h22a headers meet up with the civic exaust bolts, or if you have to fabricate some flex tube to connect the ends together.
I'm Planning on ordering the exaust pretty soon from modacar.com along with some h22a headers, along with the engine from HMO.
other note.. any exaust suggustions ?? thinking might as well go with the evo2.
--Thanks in advance.

Re: Exaust for a h22a 92 cx swap? (likwidchz)
92-95 Honda Civic exhaust systems will require some modifications to the b-pipe because of the H22a header is much longer compared to the stock Civic one. However, an Acura Integra exhaust system will fit on to your hatch as well with little to no modification at all. I've found out that the Integra b-pipe is shorten already obviously because of the Integra header is long. Another option is to go to a muffler shop and have them custom make you one with 2.25 inch piping with a muffler of your choice (Magnaflow, apex'i,etc.). Comparing the 94-01 Integra to the 92-95 Civic exhaust systems the Civic will fit better however you have to modify it and the Integra will bolt right in but there may be some fittment issues. I've tried both and found out the Civic worked well but like I said before it required me to go to a muffler shop and have the b-pipe shorten to fit the H22a header. Hope this helps.
P.S: You should use a H22a cat and you will have no problems bolting up the exhaust system since the bolt patterns are the same where the b-pipe connects to the cat. The reason why is that where the header connects to the cat is different compared to civic one.
