a guy at pepboys told me that a buick grand-national turbo motor would fit into my 87 chevy cavailer... and I beleive that he had quite the wing aswell.
The guy is a F#%$ idiot. Evo's have evenly spaced exhaust ports while honda's have unevenly spaced exhaust ports. Just look at some gaskets on ebay and it is clear that they are not a match.

Hey thanks for the reply man.Actualyy I should have posted it first but I have a 92 accord lx and the exhaust ports are evenly spaced.but your right on the newer year F22s thier ports are spaced like this "O OO O" where as on my year their even "OOOO"
You gave me a good tip though on comparing the gaskets.I got on advanced auto parts.com and just compared gaskets. Turns out a 97 eclipes looks very close, actually the part numbers were almost the same to.So i'm gonna take an old gasket with me and compare them in person and see what happens.
It just sucks looking for a header for this thing.Thats not 500 bucks.
-1992 honda accord with 5spd swap just finished on the 12/15/05.Thanks s.cali!-

a DSM turbo mani will fit an F22A with very minor drilling of the mounting holes on the manifold.
it will NOT fit an F22B or F23
92 = F22A so you should be in business!

Thanks Notorious I did some more research on it last night and found the same thing.Hey i see you have the AEM ems.Are you happy with it?I'm saving for an aem stand alone for mine.
It's going to be the most expensive part of the whole deal,But I think it's going to be the key to making this a succesful project and not a two thousand dollar frag grenade. !

yeah I like the EMS, it's not too hard to use, and there's no chip burning necesssary, you can make changes on the fly w/ a laptop and you're good to go.
Since you're already OBD1 you could consider some of the cheaper options (uberdata/chrome), I didn't want to deal w/ OBD1 swap then changing everything back over (including my IACV every year to a 2-wire one) to pass emissions.
If you look around you can get them used for $8-900.
I've already grenaded a few stock F23s with it until I wised up and got forged internals. (d'oh!)

Thanks for the advice man.I've been reading up on uberdata tuning. It looks like it could be fun to learn. it doesn't look to hard.it seems like after you chip your ecu and add the usb port for the laptop that would work pretty good.
