Default EVAP with a jdm itr swap

Hey I have a 2000 civic EM1 which originally had a b16 in it. It now has a jdm ITR (96 spec) which obviously does not have any EVAP purge solenoids or anything like that. It is also running the matching OBD2-A P73 ECU.

My question is what do I do with the evap canister and stuff like that? There is no hose connected to the purge nipple on my canister. Is my tank getting properly vented? I keep hearing a wierd noise out of it every 3 minutes after turning the car off. I tried searching but couldnt come up with anything?

If anyone could give me some insight it would be greatly appreciated.

John
