Re: Euro-R into '94 civic ([GTR] PartyBoy)
Sorry to post *****, but somebody saw the cover of the Honda Tuning with the Euro-R Accord. It's OK...
Looking at the J30A1 sitting in the engine bay as we speak, I don't see anyway possible to do such a swap without major know how. If I'm not mistaken (correct me if I'm wrong) the engine in the Accord is on the right side of the bay with the tranny on the left. Plus it's V6 J series. You'd have to basically redesign the engine bay.

Accord Euro-R also comes with an H22 (from what I've seen). You can buy the engine from http://www.jhpusa.com/catalog/. I saw it on there earlier. Don't know about fitment, but it should be fine (just as cramped as a regular H22).

Re: (NiemandGott)
ya, the accord euro-r engine is an H22..
you dont need any "extra conversion" besides some new motor mounts (place racing, HASport etc..) and other assorted stuff..

Re: (SOL-R)
im an accord man myself, and im wandering the other forums (im just visitng)....to be honest, the H22(A6 i believe, too lazy to check) in the Euro-R is not worth it, though its entirely possible.....first of all, it usually runs around 4-5K if u can even find one.....then its OBDII, so you gotta deal with that......if u want it that badly, go for a H22a1, then just throw on the euro-r version intake manifold from hmotors, then u can say u have a euro-r H22.......w/ the extra money u save on getting an older h22, u can get throw on a turbo w/ new sleeves, running 8psi......and ull easly outpace it

If infact the 2001 does come with the H/F series motor, the it shouldn't be any differnt then doing your basic Prelude H series swap.
Just out of curiosity which car came with the 200hp F20B? Was that a JDM Accord SiR or something like that? I always confuse the H22A red top and F20B blue top as to what cars they originated from. Thanks.

If you really think that the only difference between the Euro R motor and a normal H22A is just an intake manifold, you're sorely mistaken.
Cams, head, pistons, intake manifold, tranny, etc. - much more than a simple intake manifold difference.
IMO the Euro-R motor is bad-*** *IF* you can find one that is.
Oh and the install should not be too much different from a normal H22A, which has been covered a million times over.
Check the stickied topic in the Hybrid Forum.

Re: Euro-R into '94 civic (zer0_2_6ixty)
J30A1 motor is a 98-01 Accord V6 SOHC VTEC motor.... at least the one in my mom's 01 Accord is. But to answer the main question, yes a Euro R H22 motor will fit into an EG chassis.... well, with the HCP mounts it will. A guy I know had it in his car for awhile w/Type R suspension.... it was clean until it got stolen from a hotel parking structure in Vegas
