engine work...
 
i bought a integra gsr engine and tranny to put in my 97 civic. i called a place and they said that it would cost $1000 to put it in. my civic when i bought it was an auto... https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emthdown.gif is 1000 dollars too much? they said it would take about three days. thanx

that's way too much for labor only.

For $1000 I would be sure that covers all labor costs, complete installation with no ECU codes of the GSR swap, and all manual tranny conversion parts (ie - hydraulic clutch system, clutch pedal installation, master cylinder, etc.)

yeah they said that they would provide the clutch and everthing.

im kinda new to this swapping stuff. what do you mean" with no ECU codes of the engine swap?

that when the car is swapped and the auto to manual is done also, that no check engine light comes on. I bad ECU code will make the check engine come on.

Like he said above, make sure that you get it ALL for 1000
