B16A engine, 1st gen with cable tranny - Cost about $1000 - $1500 including ECU

HASport mount and linkage kit for B-series in 88-91 Civics - Cost about $700

Wire kit for said car from HASport - Cost about $200

90-93 Integra Axles - Cost about $300

Do it yourself and save. Total cost about $3000

Less than $3000... I personally can get a hold of a B16A engine/tranny/ECU combo for $1700 CDN, which is about $1100 US. If you want lots of details, procedures involved, pics, parts needed, etc, just take a look at my website. Feel free to ask questions if you need more info, too . HTH!

OH yeah, axles you can get MUCH cheaper than listed there (mine were about $200 CDN, or $150 US), the mount kit and linkage I got for $700 CDN (about $500 US), and why get a wiring kit? Just do it yourself and save about $190. It'll take no more than 1 full day even if you're a raving moron .

Plan on spending 3k if you want a good motor and good parts and if you want to do it right. They're not cheap. Everybody wants them, so everybody that sells them wants way more than they're worth. Anytime I walk into a junk yard over here, the guys can barely speak english. When you start asking about these motors they say "oh, you want vtec? i got vtec for you...three thousand dollars complete...only ten thousand miles on engine"

My 2 Cents,

Get a B20B. Full swap should cost you no more than $1,500 Mounts, wiring, and misc. stuff should add no more than another $1,000 to that.

I love the B16 but everyone and their mother has one and the cheap B16A's are liable to be a little "aged" The B20 has better absolute performance potential also if you plan to continue messing around with it (trust me, you will)

Ok I will tell you this, I got my engine, tranny, ecu for 1100.00 shipped to my front door, then purchased an HCP mount kit (which comes with the shift linkage) EF18X 475.00 and then spent about another 300.00 on misc parts, hoses, cables and the timing belt ( do it while it's out of the car and it is alot easier ). Now the axles came off a 90-93 teg ( 5sp no ABS ) just slide them in the correct sides and thats done. As far as the wiring I almost bought one of those pre-fab wiring harness but it really is a waste of moneyyou just have to add four wires and one ground and it's really not that hard. So you figure 2200.00 bones ( i also upgraded the intake manifold and intake cam and cam gears ) I have a pretty quick little 91 hatchback. But the best part is unless you sticker it up it is the coolest little sleeper, but thats just how i did it, also check out CRX & JDM B16A Hybrid info, it's that site of raeneshadow's, also http://www.geocities.com/tjsite also a good info site
