Engine swap not starting/turning over
Took out my b18c4 too put in a b18c6 forged for my turbo setup.Have it in and all wired up but it wont turn over at all? I put in a new fuel pump and its priming etc when I turn the key I also have my ignition lights and when I turn the key I have my engine check/oil and that. Its not turning over at all though I unbolted my starter there and cross the two large terminals and the little gear in the starter popped out and span so I took off the piece I used too cross them but it continued too spin even after turning off my ignition..i had too take off my battery lead to stop it..its obviously a wiring problem.I checks my earths the one from gearbox too chassis, rocker to slam panel and thermostat housing and there all fine?
Any help greatly appreciated

Main relay under dash? If LHD the. On left side up against left side of kick pannel frame (up a bit from floor). RHD same thing just other side. Timing? Make sure ing/cam timing is correct.

Re: Engine swap not starting/turning over
If its not cranking you should, since you said the starter was working. If you can turn it then make sure your starter is turning when its bolted on, since you tried it by jumping it outside its normal position

Re: Engine swap not starting/turning over
Try turning the crank from the drivers side should be a size 19mm, if it doesn't turn more than likely the engine is bad

Re: Engine swap not starting/turning over
If your engine builder hasn't been building engine for factory race teams for decades, there's a GOOD chance he screwed something up. It could also be something as simple as installing the camshaft or timing belt incorrectly.
Don't post again in this thread until you have spun the engine via the crank pulley.
