which engine harness : lsvtec swap in 96 civic dx ek
UPDATE: ok, i think i found out the differences.
difference between ex auto and manual: thwo of the plugs are the same that go into the ecu, and the third is different.
difference between civic and gsr harness: wires that go into connector A spot 5&6(the o2 sensor wires) are diff color. black/white black/white in ex, green/red orange/black in gsr. there's more differences, but that's enough for me to check.

thanks for looking.
-i bought 96 civic dx hatch shell that had an auto to manual swap already done on it.
-i swapped in an obd1 lsvtec motor, running and obd1 ecu with conversion harness.
-i bought what i was told was a 96 ex harness.
-the car does everything but spark, and i've tested EVERYTHING else and am down to the wiring being a problem.
so i have a couple questions i couldn't find answers to, so please help if you know em:
1) i read there is a difference in the ex auto engine harness and the manual harness. if there is a diff, could anyone explain roughly what it is.
2) how can i be sure my harness is what it is. i mean it's def obd2, and has a plug for the vtec solnoid. but is there a way to tell if it's a gsr from an ex manual from an ex auto?
thanks in advance for any help
