Which engine to buy? B18C? or H23?
Hello everyone
i found some b18c's and a h23 at a friend junkyard
he gave me a offer to buy any engine for $800 and these are the two i liked the most,
now... i dont actualy need the engine right now since i'm about to finish my d16 build, i just want it for the next next project, which i dont know what itll be, the price is tempting,
i dont know exactly what b18c? engine that is but i know its a c,
the h23 is from a prelude, both engines are with no tranny's,
is it hard to find a manual tranny for the h23 in the US? (cant afford the adaptor)
anyone know the pn of it?
i'm from israel so no matter what engine ill buy, ill probably gonna need to order the tranny from the US,
thanks for looking,

go with the B18c. easier to find parts for and will be an easier swap. H23 is pretty weak anyway.. now if it was an H22......

H23 tranny's aren't all that rare anymore. They're more available than an H22 for sure and probably a bit cheaper than the b-tranny. I say go with the H23, bigger displacement, more power stock which obviously leads to a greater potential. The swap isn't all that hard either - I'm a pre-med major and I did it so i feel like anybody can. GL

Good advice retard
Just ignore the fact that the H22 makes more horsepower and torque than the GSR
