EG GSR Dead Cylinder After Hot Start
Whats up guys? Alright so on two occasions, Thursday and Saturday, in the past week after a hot start my car has decided to run on three cylinders. On both of those occasions it went away shortly after driving. Maybe 1-2 minutes. Drove it to and from work which is about 30 minutes friday and it did not do it. Well today I was driving and I noticed it started missing after about 20-30 minutes of driving. It has never done this before. It missed a couple times but kept going as if nothing was wrong. After parking the car and coming back to it, probably like 10-15 minutes, I started it and it was missing. Revved it up and could hear it steadily missing so i knew it was on cylinder. Decided to try to head out of the parking lot but it didnt go away. So I limped it to the parts store and borrowed some tools. Found that cylinder three is dead. CHecked for spark and its there. Felt injector and its firing fine. Limped it home and swapped in a known good plug wire for cylinder three. Still misfiring. Swapped back in the old plug wire and then swapped spark plugs for cylinders 2 and 3. Still misfiring. Now on the way home i noticed that it would miss only if my foot was on the throttle. Any throttle and it misses. I also noticed when i let it coast down it did not miss. So i tried downshifting. When I down shift and do not press the throttle it sounds completely normal. No misfiring. Also will miss at idle. Any suggestions?

just cuz you feel the injector fire doesn't mean its actually dropping fuel. Check resistance on the injector when its hot. Also, do a compression check on it as well as the other cylinders. If all else fails, swap the injector to another cylinder and see if the misfire moves to that cylinder.

True but a clogged injector would always misfire not just under load and idle. I plan on compression testing the car today. Anyone every experience anything like this?

Compression is 187 in cylinder three. 180-190 on the rest. Smoke tested the intake and found a broken vacuum line. Replaced it and nothing happened. Checked iabs with boroscope and they're working fine.
