Default EG BAR/ Legal Swaps...CA????

I would like to know what are legal swaps for EG's??? VX model??? How hard is it to do this?? What do I need to do it right the first time???

I plan to do a swap either way legal/ non-legal but I wanted to try & build a completely legal boosted swap! I plan on using a d15b/d16y8/d16z6 More than likely I'll be using a d16y8 w/ a Greedy(type) kit??

any info. helps!

well if your using the d16y8 stick with that. change over to obd2 (including the diagnostic port) and then put a carb legal gready turbo kit for the d16y8.

your done.

The OBD of the car is going to have to match that of the engine you're trying to BAR it as.

Since Y8's are OBD2, the reff will want it OBD2.

A Z6 will be more simple to reff.

i'd recommend forged connecting rods and pistons, but it sounds like you're going straight to the turbo kit in which case i'd say that the obd-1 z6 is your best choice. your stock internals should be replaced with stronger aftermarket pieces anyhow.

I think what he is trying to say is the obd of the ECU must match the obd of the engine.

Since the y8's are obd2, the ref will want an obd2 ecu.
