Default eg + b-series = wiring questions

What wiring alterations are required to put a B-series engine into a '93 Si? Is it simply a matter of mating the engine-side wiring harness to the chassis-side harness? Do we simply replace the ECU and put a jumper harness in-line just before it?

I'm just helping a pal get some info before we dig into his car and cut the wrong wire. I'd hate to snip the wrong one and blow up the car.

Yes, essentially thats it. If you are using an OBD1 ECU you don't even need an adapter harness. Its totally plug and play. You do need to move two pins at the ECU plugs but that is very easilly done and has been covered here a gazillion times.

E-mail me if you want more detailed information.

Wiring is pretty easy for the 93 Si for putting a B series in there, VTEC is already there, 4 wire o2 sensor sensor is already there, only thing you would need to add to the wiring harness is a knock sensor to D3 on the ecu (if you plan on using the ECU it came with).

Only other thing is to change to the fuel injector harnesses, but that takes about 10 minutes to do

hope that helps.

D3 is a pin location on the ECU, I take it. ??
