Default EF/GSR/VTEC issue

I've been slowly plugging away at this project and have come to another hurdle.

I have been trying to wire up VTEC properly, and as per P28 0bd1 write ups I have pinned the VTEC solenoid and oil pressure sensor as per this:

Now the odd thing is that when I try to ground the correct ground wire, I pop an ECU fuse (15a) on the passenger shock tower.

I have tried swapping the wires with the same result.

Looking for some direction as to where to look to find the culprit.

For details, currently as per my P28 chip, my car does not run knock or 02.

Until I wired VTEC, and tried to ground that wire, car would start up normally. Steady idle.

double check your wiring...post up a picture of the vtec oil pressure switch...you more than likely have the wire going to D6 switched with the ground wire
