ECU wires.... how come its so many?
I read on one if the hybrid website about ECU pins and which goes to which sensor like the knock sensor, vtec...etc
BUT there are other wires that are in the harness and connected to the ECU but is not documented?
What does these wires do?
Thanks!

Not to be a dick but..... The first step on the road to Honda enlightenment is to buy a Helms manual. Study the function of the fuel injection system and the control/feedback loops necessary to make it work then ponder your original question.

Agreed. Your first purchase after buying a car should be to get the OFFICIAL service manual... (Helms manual). Stay away from that Haynes/Chilton crap.
Your second purchase (if you don't have one already) should be a decent torque wrench.

Dont worry guys, no offense taken.
I do have the helms shop manual.... But It does not say what each of the wires do... well it does but not exactly... it only routes wires for every sensors/system.
I was hoping somebody might have mapped the whole ecu already.
Anyone??

The helms manual tells you everything about the engine and ECU. Among other things.
Each wire in the ECU is connected to something. There are about 64 to 108 wires in your ECU (depending on year) and they all do something.
For instance, on my GSR, there are a bunch of wires I can think of....
3 - Map sensor
3 - TPS
2 - AIC
2 - IAB
1 - VTEC solenoid
2 - VTEC pressure
2 - Coolant temp
1 - Oil temp
2 - Air temp
8 - Injectors
1 - Knock sensor
1 - Oil pressure
8 - Dist
2 - Grounds
2 - AC
4 - O2
etc, etc, etc......
As you can see, it all adds up very quickly. Not to mention, that the ECU also has wires that run to the dash, and other locations such as cruise control, and AC (if you have it). And the ECU also monitors other items on OBD2 cars, so you can see how every wire connects to something somewhere.
