Which ECU (h22 help)
 

I have a obd1 h22 swap in my EG and I know the stock ecu to use would be the p13 but I dont have it and im just using a p28 right now to get around but the thing is I have GSR injectors wired up so should I use a GSR ecu like a p72, will that work good?

A p72 will work better but i have seen some nasty dynos from using p72's on H22A's.. H22s appear to be way more thirsty in the mid range from what i remember..

You are perfectly fine with the p28 or p72.. you should do some searching on chipping the p28 and tuning it.. "Crome Pro" sounds like a good and economical option these days.

please do not ruin your H22A by driving it hard on an untuned (stock p28 or p72) ECU. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

ALSO, the p13 uses a resistor box to run the injectors, the p28/p72 do not.

The injectors determine if a resistor box is needed, not the ecu. So if you running obd1 or obd2A H series injectors, you need a resistor. If your running obd1 or obd2 B series injectors, you dont need it. Regardless of the ecu.

BUT, I would not recommend running an h22 with gsr injectors. The h22 injectors are a different size.

I actually dont drive it right now, its sitting the garage because I dont want to mess anything up, so gsr injectors are not good because they are not big enough? So can I just get a p72 and tune it with vafc or would I have to use hondata?
