ecu and distributor for a 96-98 civic
i have a 96 civic that i am wanting to put a b16a1 swap into because my stock y7 motor is pushing 200,000miles. i have always delt with 92-95 cars and a fw new integras. this is the first time that i put a b16 into a 96 civic.i had a few questions.
1. which dizzy you i use for the swap. cause the 96 y8 harness has the bigger single plug, where as the 99-00 si dizzy has the smaller single plug.
2. which ecu would a use since we didn't have a si in 96-98 civics. (that i know of)
as far as the ecu goes i know i could use a 97-98 itr ecu but they are kinda pricey. also i don't want to use a jdm b16b ecu cause of the emission thing. i have a 97 jdm b18c (itr) ecu.
the other thought that i had is i could use the jdm one to drive around on. then when inspection time comes i could drive it over on the 67 u.s. model LS ecu that i have.
all ideas are welcome. the most important question is the first one.

Re: ecu and distributor for a 96-98 civic (SprayinCX)
okay i figured out the dizzy problem. what had happened was the guy gave me a modded obd-1 b16 that was converted to work with a obd-2b harness
