Default ECU for 96 del sol motor

i have a 96 ek hatch with a jdm b16a i got reffe'd i got the list form the reff of things i need to change it says i need to "install the OBD II ECU for this 1996 Del Sol B16a DOCH VTEC motor" ive come across an ecu off a 00 civic si will that work or what can i use?


also anyone selling a "throttle body with map sensor on top" or can some one point me where they sell them cheap and i also need a cat and charcoal canister

im not certain, but i dont think u can use the 00 si ecu...i believe it is obd2-2, and the 96 is an obd2-1.

the 96-97 b16 del sol would probably be ok, or you could get the jumper for obd1 and that will give you a lot more options of ecu's.

Del Sol Sis didn't come with a B16, the Del Sol VTEC did though. They used a P30

I think that it would be best to buy one from a 96 del sol...should make it easier to pass smog.

the first one wont work...that is not for a b16a...only the single slammers have the catalytic converter in the manifold.

it would work...obviously you would need to get it welded to some flanges or to your exhaust...and if youre worried about emissions, i am not sure how it would do. but i understand that oem converters are like a bagillion dollars...
