Default Dyno Day for East Coast Hybriders... (H22 or B-series)

Okay I spoke to the dude that owned the dyno and he said everything is a go. I would just have to get back to him with a date so that he can be focused and have everything setup for us when we arrive. He gave me prices of $100 for 4 runs which can also include a 1/4 mile run if you want. And he will not necessarily penalize anyone if something happens during their run.. If you ant an A/F Motec readout then that is an additional $25.. For now that is his price but if I can get a solid diffinate number maybe I can talk him down somewhat..

So the next thing we need to decide is on a date, time, and number of people joining. So far I am looking @ Sunday, July 20th probably sometime in the morning with runs all day till we are done..

If you are truely interested then you can leave your name here in a listing so that I can speak to him before hand and get this thing setup. The place is located in Queens not too far from RPM NYC's shop so its righ off of Jamaica Av.

Oh and just a side note, I installed the AEM ITR CAI this past Tuesday and all i can say is damn what a difference. The engine feels like it just wants to jump out of the car now and for some strange reason its so much quieter than the shortram and stocking I had in the car before.. hehe Just letting everyone know that its a good investment. I will take some pictures and post them up later on today. AND I will let everyone know how it really feels once I get some highway time in..

Well since we are finally getting some nice weather in the tri state area for once, that could be why not as many people are on.

Damn, the H22a won't be in by then...what are the chances that he will be organizing another day later in the season, possibly August or September?

Ya, the AEM intake is much better than the short ram I had as well. VTEC screams big time with the air filter being in front of the tire.

Just some teaser pics hehe. Hopefully I have have all that other stuff installed by the time the dyno day comes around. Assuming if everyone can make it by then. And the MSD is going back in on the 7th of July. So things are coming along nicely.. Next up is brake upgrade and paintjob once I can have enough free money to support it..

Very nice looking swap man. My mechanic here did one in his 95 DX coupe. I was suprised that with only a few bolt-ons how quick that car was (13.96 @ 103 with street tires and full interior).

Dyno is located in Queens, NY so it may be a little far off from where you are located. hehe But anyone is welcome as long as I can get a number to give the guy soon. And its setup to be on a Sunday so it should easily accomodate most peoples schedules. Still I have to get a base number so I can call him and setup a date. Hopefully by Monday I will have more responses and I will call him then to see if the date is available..

Fast: what is up with the car now?

Dayum Jason, you cleaned your bay!! Jp, I'm definately down. Put me in as number 3 for July 20th, and I might have a couple friends that would wanna come to. I'll find out for sure and let you know though. And what's the deal w/the 1/4 mile run afterward?

Btw, you're intake is a lot better than mine. I'll be ordering the ITR one hopefully next week.

Word word that is what I am talking about. Your engine looks hella clean too Upstate Civic.. And yeah I got the whole engine bay power washed before the last meet..

As for the 1/4 times. The dyno operator said you can chose to make that one of your 4 runs to see what your 1320 time would be. I guess their dyno has the ability to calculate it without the obvious wind and other restrictions you would get from being on an actual track. I guess it should be fun either way..

That is a clean R motor as well. Even came with a shiny oil cap..

And depending how long I stay the next time I am in NC GSR I would love to setup a dyno day down there as well. I know there is a bunch of hondas in the carolina area..

Lol, thanks man. My car was destroyed in the flood here the day before the motor came in (Thank God, insurance wouldn't have covered the motor unless it was in the car). Took me almost a month to find another four door I liked so I kinda had to start all over again. I'll be glad to finish the project I started almost a year ago (I know, long *** time but with college and all, it's hard to pay for my toys ). I'll try to post up some new pics next week when we drop it in.

Later,
Roach
