Drops right in?
Ok, so I drive a 93 dx coupe and I am about to buy a d16z6 from what I know it drops right in correct? And I need to add two wires for the vtec? This is going to be my FIRST swap ever, and I am a bit nervous. I am taking four days off from work in the very near future to get it all done. I know that I should do the timing belt and water pump before I drop it in and I am also put in a new clutch in it while it is still out. Anything else I should know?

motor mount inserts
they are cheap (around $20) and very easy to put in before you drop the motor in.
also, take the time to thoroughly clean your engine bay with some simple green while you can.
good luck with the swap.

Yes the motor will drop right in. The mounts and everything you can use your D series factory mounts, unless you already have some on the D16Z6.
You will just need to wire up the three wires for VTEC.
VTEC Oil pressure sensor to D6 and the ground to the thermostat ground.
VTEC Solenoid goes to A4.
HTH.
