Drivers side axle popping out.
My cv axle is popping out of intermediate shaft. I have had 2 new axles and they both did it. I have a 94 accord with a h22w/tranny in it. I used the accord axles with accord intermediate shaft like u are supposed to. I have had no prolblems with my passenger side. But for some reason my driver side always want to pull out of the shaft. What could cause this to just pop out like that. I have reccently raised my car to stock and it still does it.

Are these newly remanufactured axles? I have came across a few that after being rebuilt they ended up being shorter than spec. Cutting a sharp turn would make it pull out from the tranny side.

remanufactured axles are the worst, don't ever get them.
And you're positive the axles 'snapped' into place in the tranny?

believe me, if they didn't snap into place, you'd be able to hear it the moment you start the car.

Re: Drivers side axle popping out. (vtecb20coupe)
Not necessarily. This happened to me last year after being forced to replace an axle at the drag strip. I thought I had it completely in place, it felt like it had "snapped" in place, but It sure didn't. (sorry, I'm sure snapping into place isn't a technical term, but its the best way I can describe it.)
Didn't sound any different when i started the car. after backing out, I put the car into first gear, let out the clutch, and started rolling when the axle popped out.
So it made it the first few feet backing up just fine, and made it a few feet in a forward gear then popped out... without any change in noise.
But it doesn't sound like it's this guy's problem either though

No it is popped in and doesnt move. I think it pops out after cornering. It seems to be a problem of getting pulled out bc it is too short. Someone said in a post to cut the boot ring bc maybe the air suction in there is pulling it out.

Re: Drivers side axle popping out.
