Does Insurance cover swaps?
A question I probably should have asked BEFORE I got a Hybrid. If the car was totalled or stolen will they cover it?

good ?? and what do you tell them in order to tell thema a good excuse why you replace the motor also ?
1. DX engine is leaking oil in the head gasket and crank
2. Consuming oil @ 1 quart/1,000 miles
3. CV joint clicking when turning.
A swap replaces the whole powertrain.
Its a Honda
Its coming from a newer car
Engine passes emission
Everything will be legal and documented.
I dont see why insurance would not cover it.

I doubt they would cover it. I think if you call and ask then they'll either want to jack up your rate or drop your policy all together since you're putting a faster engine in it. It kind of lets them know you're racing.

a lot depends on your insurance agent and company. I know state farm will cover it, but they usually will increase your premium and add a rider policy on for the engine specifically.
