Does anyone know a good place to buy a tranny for a b18b long block?
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knew a good place to buy a tranny for a b18b long block? I plan on buying the long block from h motors, because of my limited funds, and the potential of the motor. I'll be piecing together my setup slowly, but don't know of any places that sell trannys, I've only seen places selling motors. Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but my topic got swept away quickly in the classifieds. Thanks for any replies.

Keep an eye on the classifieds forums. There are people selling trannies from time to time. I think I know someone with an LS tranny, but since you're buying a longblock, you're probably planning on getting a tranny with shorter gearing.

Did you ask Steve at H motors if he has any tranny's? Since you're getting the engine there why not see if you can get the tranny too, or save up a little more $ and get a full swap. If you do decide to get the tranny separate, I would go with a GSR tranny for the shorter gearing - not too short though.
