Default does 96 gsr head fit 2001 type r bottom end block?

is this a good setup because my gsr block are worn out and acura is charging me 2300 just for the type r block if i would;ve buy it and that includes piston, piston rings, bearing, type r rods, type r crankshaft. eveything.

is this worth it??

Yes it will fit.

But what's wrong with your block, exactly? You could spend that $2300 on rebuilding the engine you have and make more power than you would with a stock C5 bottom end.

I will buy your old block. I can get you a new Type-R or GSR short block cheaper, too. About $2000 tax included.
