I bought a GSR fuel tank and was hoping it will fit a EG. Got lazy and just pulled out the GSR fuel pump. The Civic and the GSR fuel pump are identical in size (width, length, etc). Not sure though what each does. Not an expert but if anyone here knows pls share it.

Yeah, B16s destroy SOHC non-VTEC engine fuel pumps pretty fast 
I too have heard that the 'Teggy ITR gets a higher-flowing pump, though I thought the GSR got a high-flow model too... but I really know jack-all about it
Why not just get a Walbro, they're pretty cheap you know. If you don't mind living with the whirrrr noise
