Default Ditch my jdm b18c w/ lsd for an H22A

hey all, right now i have a 95 ex coupe with a JDM b18c w/ lsd.
i have an aem CAI, dc 4-1, no cat, and a greddy exhaust. its quick, dont get me wrong, but i want something faster in a straight line. I really enjoy beating mustang's and z28's but i still want more speed!!! so i was wondering if you all think it would be possible to sell my motor with everything and get a more-or-less complete H22A swap, axles, mounts, etc.
right now my motor has about 6000 TOTAL miles on it, i bought it with 2500. i would sell it as a complete swap, lsd tranny, mounts, practically brand new axles, AEM CAI, dc 4-1, everything.
do you all think i could get a FULL h22a swap, axles, tranny, ecu, shiftlinkage for what i could sell my b18c?????
i already dont have ps or ac, so that's no big deal. i would probably get a fluidyne radiator while i was at it too

What type of axles did you use when you installed the JDM b18c engine in your EX? I'm looking in getting the same motor. I'm trying to do my research. thanks

Get a turbo and you'll end up way faster without completely throwing away your handling performance.

go h22
and yes, for selling the header and everything, I'm sure you could squeeze it out for just enough for a full h22 swap.

Sounds like you got a good deal on the engine. I'm sure you could break even on the H22 switch.

uhh. duh the b18c1 is more expensive because it is easy to drop in. The prelude on the other hand it will need alot of modifications done to it for it to bolt in. My 2 cents.. Keep the B18c1 and just turbo charge that sucka.

mount kit, shift linkage work, and different axles.. what a pain for the shift linkage..

Ok a JDM B18C is a Type R motor, but a lot of people just refer it to a GSR. I'm guessing your motor is a GSR. Why dont you just boost it? You'll be making more power than an H22 and keep your daily driveablility.

its quick, dont get me wrong, but i want something faster in a straight line.
Ok get an H22 then . Honestly, I would just keep your motor and build that one.

No, when you say JDM B18C it does not automatically mean Type R. I know, I have one. But considering he has an LSD on his B18C, I'll go along with the Type R suggestion.

O yeah, I agree with staying with your current motor. If this is to be a daily driver, then just build up what you have. The H22 will be more of a hassle than you think.

This makes no sense. Just because something is easier to drop in, it costs more?

Like JDM Dasilva said, supply and demand.

Don't get a H22a!!!!. It's a great swap, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't make sense to get rid of a perfectly good B18c1!!! You won't be able to sell that B18C1 swap for the cost to put a H22A into your car. The H22A is going to need mounts, custom axles, and a load of custom wiring that's going to run the cost of a H22A swap (no AC by the way) to close to 5 grand, if you do every thing the right way. You MIGHT be able to get 3 grand for the B18C1 swap. You'll be very happy with your B18 if you get some cams, V-AFC, a ported head, and maybe dome ITR pistons. Don't give up so soon.

don't get rid of a B18C for a H22!!!!! don't get me wrong, H22's are garbage!!!
stay with a B series vtec bottom end, if i were you i would ditch the GSR head for a B16 head. throw on a skunk2 or ITR intake manifold and some port work, and get some crower 402 cams! your car will still turn.
