Default Distributor Woes... Could quite find the answer in other posts

So I have a 90 integra I bought for $400 with a B16A2 in it... strange yes but what ever...
Put a new head on it, redid some wiring flaws and ran a Rywire v-tech sub harness to a PR3 ECU.
It was running fine until recently the bearing inside of the distributor decided to sieze.
I was looking at it and the people before me had hacked off the two lower arms on the case of an obd0 distributor and bolted it to the B16A2, so the wiring harness was all happy.
I ended up bying a distributor (TD-81 I believe) and converted over the harness and made it look pretty, unfortunatly I can't get it to run at all.
I haven't found a definite source but I have heard that the distributor won't run off the ECU... is there a chip or something available or do I need to convert over the ECU and get an adaption harness?
If so what parts do I need because I'm rather Newb.... Thanks!
