Difference in GSR and SiR B18c?
What, if any, is the difference in the GSR b18c and the SiR b18c?
I'm looking for a b18c1 motor and some are advertised one way and some the other.
Thanks

GS-R b18c1 is a usdm 170hp 10.0:1 compression ( could be 10.2) I might be wrong.
Sir-G b18c is a jdm 180 hp 10.4:1 compression
both has same gear ratio but in the jdm b18c you can get a optional factory lsd where the usdm b18c won't have it.
That's all I can think of right now though.

Since when did any civic come with a b18 motor?!?
The EK chassis SiR is the Canadian version of the USDM Si. It's also powered by the same b16a2 as the USDM Si.

We're talking about an Integra Sir-G b18c...not a civic.
And, thanks Sleeperciv for the information.

USDM B18C1 GSR = 10.0:1 170hp
JDM B18C SiR = 10.6:1 180hp
The JDM ECU has a speed governor and some years (96+ I believe) have no VTEC pressure switch.

The OBD1 JDM P72 ecu's facotry programming sucks *** too. If you get a JDM B18C-SiR/G engine either upgrade the ecu or use a stock US OBD1 P72 ecu.
