Default Del Sol Swap Question (b18c)

Alright so I got a 95 Del Sol Si and am swapping in a 97 B18c

I got my mounts, Shift Linkage, and CV's. I been told a few different things for the Wire harness so its starting to confuse me, I was told GSR Ob2 is pretty much a direct fit to the motor, but I was also told I can use my old harness from a D16 but would have to refit the injector plugs and swap over the old alternator. so needed help with that.

2nd which T Bracket do I use for the rear mount. my Del Sol one doesnt fit.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok rear t bracket U need a dc b series t bracket. For engine harness all but inj amd dizzy will plug and play from your d 16 harness(obd1) there is a sticky on 92-2000 civic/sol for dizzy and Inj write up how/ what to do. Keep in mind that if u use your old harness there will some bs plugs not used from d to b swap ( evap shot mostly) but unless your sol was a z6 sohc v you will need to wire in vtec, knock, and secondary butterflys(< will have to do regardless). I may be forgettting stuff that is about the jist of things to get you in right direction. Pm me if you need any other help but plz search hybrid/ civic/sol sections first

You can swap over your SI injectors as they are the same flow rate. Either convert or use an adapter for the distributor(http://forums.beyond.ca/showthread/t-182476.html). You can swap connectors for the alternator or swap over voltage regulators. Wire up knock sensor and the IABs.

awesome ty guys, I tried to search in the del sol fourm didnt really findwhat I was looking for didnt realize there was an actual hybrid section till my post got moved! but thanks again!

What about using a GSR OB2 Harness? would that be easier then converting wires over?

the motor my original harness is from is a ZC Block with D16z6 Head so it has Vtec, dont think I could use the injectors though it was a turbo'ed motor so there 440cc or 550cc I think I would have to double check.

Obd2 = fail. You obd2 a/b. each needs it own harness jumper. Much easier to use yours and add what is needed

If you use the OBD2 harness it will fit the motor directly and plug into the harness on the passenger shock tower to the ecu. If you reuse the old D16 harness you will need jumper harnesses for the alternator, distributor, and injectors or it might be possible to find those connectors and swap them onto the D16 harness. Also, with the OBD2 harness you will only have to run knock sensor and IAB wires from the ecu to the plugs on the shock towers instead of to the actual sensors. These two plugs for sure will not be on the D16 harness so you will have to source them from a donor harness. I had to use my old d15b7 harness and used the plugs off the JDM harness that came with my motor to connect IABS, knock sensor, and VTEC as mine was a non-VTEC. His harness is OBD2 A by the way. 1996-1997 OBD2 A 1998- up OBD2 B.

alright, it seems less work but more money to do it the OBD2 Way. I'm not very electrical savoy I know power ground, and how to hook up a stereo but thats about it the easy stuff! lol

I may try to do it with my harness first see if I can learn something doesnt hurt to try! I'll have to check out that how to for the switch overs see if I can follow it! thanks for all the info guys you made it really easy to understand, if I have any issues I'll be sure to ask

time to get to work!
