Definitive list of axles for B16A swap into CRX
I apologize for asking a question that has been asked a billion times, but I've researched this, and I've found several different recommendations. Can any of you all either post or direct me to a definitive listing of axles for the B16A swap into an 89 CRX Si? The car has a cable trans, if that makes a difference. My first concern is the best possible function and suspension geometry combined with reasonable strength (i.e., street driving and autocrossing, not drag racing), but if possible I'd like to use OEM Honda parts, to take advantage of parts store availability over the long haul.
Thanks.

if i remember technically you need 86-9 teg outters with 90-3 inners but i am pretty sure the 90-3 completes will work. i always did exactly what the haspirt write up was but alas i have lost it.

So is this the definitive combination? 90-93 Integra intermediate shaft with 86-89 Integra axles? I'm not trying to say you don't know what you're talking about, but it just seems like just about every source I check--including the archived posts here and on Honda-Acura.Net--has a different recommendation.
Thanks.

Or, after re-reading your post, it looks like you're saying that the axles should be hybrids, too. That they should have 86-89 Integra outer CV joints, and 90-93 Integra inner CV joints. Am I reading that right?

I've never heard of anyone doing that before.
I'm personally running all 90-93 axles.

that was the wriet up from hasport form a long time ago. they have since taken it down from their site as they sell axles now.
the reason being was the different bar lengths. if i remember. if you use a complete 90-93 axle in an ef you "may" (thats the key word) run into axle bind on a lowered car. thats all i am saying.
i personally did about 15 swaps that way, and never once had an issue.

I see, from what I know and do, if you got a sk3 you use 92-93 and if you got a sk7 you use 90-91 and you won't have any issues at all
