D16z6 swap
Hey everyone,
I have a 92 dx h/b that im going to be building a turbo on, Adam AKA bailhatch is going to be making the pipes and such for the turbo setup as well as the manifold, now i work at a garage and have swapped motors before but i have never installed a motor into a car other than the car it came from.
So my questions to you guys is, what wiring needs to be done to swap a d16z6 into a 92 hatch? I have the motor tranny and computer, i know thats all i need but im not quite sure how to wire it. I will be having adam help me with the swap because he has done many but im a little bored tonight and i dont have many posts so i figured id rack some posts up and gain some knowledge while im at it. Any help would be appreicate guys.
P.S. I bought my z6 from a guy in kansas, i live in Maine, roughly how much is shipping going to be for this motor and tranny?

All 92 Civic models were prewired for VTEC on the chassis side only. If you are using an EG Civic or DC Integra VTEC engine harness then it will be plug and play. If you use the stock DX harness you will still need to add the VTEC solenoid and pressure switch plugs and wiring up to the shock towers to meet the chassis harness connections.
