d16y7 - b20b swap q's...
Can I use the d16y7 harness and ecu to drive the b20b? I far as I have seen neither has vtec or knock sensor. Lengthening(soldering)wires isn't a prob if the harness and ecu will work. Thanks!

how can I be positive I am getting the low compression b20b? I heard it will have a number after it ie b20b3. Is this true?

The # behind the B20b is meaningless. is your motor JDM or USDM.
JDM b20b= USDM b20z.
The harness can work, just cut the Vtec wires

The iac on the dx computer is 3 wires and the b20 sensor is two wires. You could run the dx computer but will throw code 14 and o2 sensor(65?) because as you know the cat is on the exhaust manifold. It will iidle like ****.

I cant help you with your wiring question but as for which b20 you have.
If you have a US B20B there will be a # after the B.
If you have a JDM B20B there will be no number.
The US B20Z is the same as the JDM B20B.
That should help.

will the jdm b20b have that giraffe intake manifold or will it have the usdm b20z type intake mani? also, are you positive that the jdm motors will say b20b without any numbers? cuz i know there are some jdm motors that have a number after them.

Re: d16y7 - b20b swap q's...
nobody seems to be able to answer this question for me either... I have a b20 bottom end, b16 head... will the p28 ecu run this set up, or does it have to be a chipped p28 to run it? My vtec won't engage either, which could be an ecu problem, so will a standard, non chipped p28 ecu engage vtec on a b16 head, or does it have to be a chipped p28? The car runs, but vtec won't hit, i'm thinking ecu, someone please help?!?!?!?!?!?!?
