Default D15B auto swap to D16z6 manual how to do hard

I own a 1992 Civic DX 3 dr. h/bwith a D15B7 and automatic transmission.
I have a D16z6 and S20-5speed, clutch- brake pedle assy., master cylinders and tubes out of a 1992 Civic Si.
I do not have the shift linkage.
What nightmare would thi swap be? What about Mounts, computor, electic wirind?

It should be fairly straight foward. I did a similar swap into a 93 dx, so if you need specific help, feel free to contact me via pm. The only difference was my car was already manual.

For your questions.

It shouldn't be a huge nightmare. The motor swap is fairly easy, and the manual swap won't add a lot to the process.

As for the mounts, for a fact everything except the tranny mount will be the same. However I'm pretty sure that even that is the same between the models. Hopefully someone can add some insight here.

ECU : p28 out of a car with a manual transmission. in other words, 92-95 EX/Si Manual ECU. check the classifieds here, as these are ALWAYS for sale. usually around 100 bucks. it'll plug right in.

Wiring : you're lucky due to the fact that this car is a 92. the wiring from the shock tower plugs to the ecu is already there for you. so all you need to do is run the appropriate wires to the corresponding pins on the shock tower plugs. i know i have the pinouts around if you need, but you should be able to find them here on h/t.

there should be four wires you need to take care of : vtec solenoid, vtec oil pressure sensor, vtec oil pressure sensor ground (to any chassis ground), and the knock sensor (can someone confirm if there's a knock on the z6. I did the swap w/ a d15b.). you'll need to check that the plugs are still in these locations on the motor. the vtec solenoid and oil pressure sensor are located on the distributor side of the head. the knock is on the back of the block above the oil filter. you can find pics here on h/t as well.

oh, and you need a shiftlinkage as you said. check out the classifieds or your local junkyard. you'll also need a shifter for in the linkage. it's two pieces...so make sure you get them both. i could help you out w/ removal installation of that as well if you need.

That should get you started. As i mentioned, feel free to pm me, and hopefully a few others can drop by with the info about the things i was unsure of. Good luck, and have fun.

Im pretty sure with that model car you have to buy either a special tranny mount which is i beleive longer than the standard 5 speed mount. I have heard of that being done or cutting and rewelding you stock mount to the specific location needed. I know there are a few companys that sell the mount u need and i beleive http://www.jdmshit.com is one of them... I did the auto swap in my 99 hb and it was no problem at all.. Best of luck hope this helped ya out..
