D15 to German B16 swap
I am stationed in Germany. I got a US spec 91 CRX HF for $250 and I wanted to know if I can swap a German B16 engine into it and still be able to make it legal to bring back to the states? Is it a carb issue? My friends said that the German B16 is different then a US B16. They dont even have a honda so I am asking the pros.

It would depend on your states emission laws most of all. But technically you "should" be able to make it legal in one way or another. Most of the time it requires that all emissions equipment must match a US equivalent engine.

Re: D15 to German B16 swap (VTECVillain)
So is the engine itself the same as the states? Would I just have to change from the headers back or would I have to change any internals to make it meet stateside laws? I would probably have to meet Nevada laws. If it has nothing to do with internals then I will do it. If its too hard then I will have to wait to do it in the states. But I can get my hands on a crxsi or civic with a good motor for a couple of hundred bucks, instead of ordering one.
