D-series transmission with a B-series
I'm buying a 97 Civic DX soon and have the opportunity to pick up a B18B from a 94 Integra for $200 with ECU and harness. Since it came out of an automatic, I will not be using that transmission. The Civic is a manual right now, but what would need to be done to make the B18 work in it? Does the D-series transmission bolt up to the B-series block?

Re: (daklown)
I did a search and came up with 399 results. I did look through each title though, and most were just about a straight-forward B swap. Can the automatic ECU be used with a manual B-series transmission?

The general rule is B fits B and D fits D. There are some exceptions to the rule but the big parts are pretty much specific to each other's motor family. You will need to get a 94+ hydro B series manual tranny. You can have the ECU converted to operate with a manual tranny but getting a manual OBD2 LS ECU would probably be cheaper.
