D Series into Integra
Hello all,
I'm in the process of building a race car. I bought an Integra shell for my B18B1 swap and since I’ll have a perfectly good integra shell sitting around and a Civic motor, I decided to put the D15B7 from the Civic into the Integra. I have two friends who have done similar swaps (OBD1 D series into Integras) and their cars are running fine. Mine, however, is not. ***** The problem I'm having now is: 1.) When I turn the key to accessory, the fuel pump does not prime, and 2.) When I turn the key to start the car, I can hear the relay click, but the starter does not crank-- instead, the radiator fan starts. ***** The car did this once before, but I tried starting it over the course of a couple of days and eventually it cranked over VERY slowly out of the blue. It ran for a while, perfectly fine—mind you, and then started behaving as mentioned above. ***** Here are some details around the swap:

Re: D Series into Integra
Why don't you just get another B series motor instead of using the D15? Integras are slow as shit even with a B18B1 and you're running a SOHC non-VTEC???

It's still slow as shit, DICKWAD. If you don't like people's comments, don't make a lame ass thread about stupid shit no one bothers to do.
I wish I could pitch in and help, but I'm not quite sure about the solution to your problem. Hopefully someone in here will be able to though. I just came in here to say that a car's driving characteristics go far beyond just what motor is in it. I'm sure it will be fun to throw around a track even with a SOHC in it, depending on what kind of other components you're running on your car. Good luck! |

Also this isn't going to be my track car lol. I'm probably going to daily it and enjoy the MPGs.
