CTR cams on B16 springs..
I have a OBD1 B16 SiR swap and wanting to put both intake and exhuast CTR cams in it. The factory rev limit is set at 8000 but with the cams and the stock springs/ retainers, is it safe to move it up to say 8200?
Ive heard from a lot of people saying its saef all the way up to 8500, but its all here-say and havnt talked to anyone with experience. Since valve failure can claim my entire motor, id like to get all the positive feedback as i can to be confortable with it.
thanks..

Just spend $150 for some Type R Valve springs and retainers and don't worry about it. And tell me where you are getting your cams from.

do not run the ctr cams w/16 springs, they might bind even at lower rpm, buy OEM itr valve springs, the profile in diff for the higher lift that the ctr cams has. btw in and ex has double springs on ctr and itr.

I have read in multiple different theads about the same question. They all said it was fine as long as you have the duel springs not the single springs(on the auto motors).
