CRX with B18C5 engine not starting, please help !!!!
this is the 4th forum i have posted this thread , im getting desprate to find the solution
i have a jdm EF8 CRX SiR , it originally had b16a , then i dropped in a b18c1 engine and it was running aftermarket wire-in computer < Link Computer >
end of the story , the engine blew up , and now i dropped a jdm b18c R off ITR.
since some plugs and sensors are different , i use my b18c1 distributor , alternator and crank pulley, also i chopped some bits and pieces of sensors and plugs off my ITR wiring loom.
now everything is plugged-in , wired , etc
but the ****** engine doesnt want to start. there is NO power on the computer , injectors and also the fuel is not even making that buzzing noise !!!#&!)@(!@_) !!!!
the engine cranks but thats about it.
any idea whats wrong with it ??? if it helps the time between the engine blew up and me dropping the b18c R engine is around a year or so , the car was covered up. do you guys think during that time some sensors ******* up by itself ??
please help

If the ECU isn't getting power, then check the ECU fuse.
If the fuse is good, and theres power going to the ECU, then try another ECU.

its a blue 15 amp fuse in your fuse box next to your steering column. Chances are it's blown

If you can turn the ignition on and you dont hear the fuel pump and you know for a fact the ecu is getting no power, of course it wont start. As stated before, check the MAIN relay. under the dash on the drivers side.

before u start taking things apart, try looking at your grounds. maybe you left one loose.
i bet the ground on the thermostat is loose. alot of people forget to tighten that one up. i had the same problem with my integra.
it really pissed me off, but a few days later with a calm head i looked at the car and solved the problem.
keep tryin

ok some of u suggest the main relay , say if i buy a new main relay , will the computer work ??? if so thats 1 problem solved .........
what about the fact that my injectors arent firing because of no power
went to my mechanic again , he said there is no spark , fuel and compression because theres no positive power at all !

I guess I look at things too simple. If the ecu is getting no power, then trace the circuit thats supposed to supply power to see whats up. It cant be that hard. From the battery, everything goes to a fuse and then gets routed to the apropriate item. Same for the injectors. For the injectors, they get there pules to operate FROM THE ECU. If the ecu is not getting power, then of course the injectors wont work either.
As for there being no compression, there's no electrical circuit to fix that. That sounds more like a timing belt issue. Double check cam/crank timing marks. Well, I guess if theres no positive power, then the car would not crank and of course there would be no compression, motor got to turn over first to get compression.

i had a problem on my swap where the wires werent completely tight or somethin on the ecu, i just mashed the wires/harness into the ecu so they would be a bit tighter and it turned on like a charm
if u have no compression, then something other than electrical is the problem
