CRX b16a swap no reverse lights
Did a quick search but didnt find what i need. I put a b16a into my 89 crx DX and ever since then i have no reverse lights. I checked the fuse and both bulbs work. I know there is a switch or something on the tranny but i need to know what im looking for. Is it directly connected to the tranny or what the wire colors should be. Any help would be great.

Go to the drivers shock tower and look at the connector where the engine harness connects to the car harness. See if the Green/Black wire inthe car's harness is lined up with a Green/Black wire from the engine harness. This is part of the reverse lights system. If whoever converted your engine harness used one from a 90 or 91 DX these wires won't line up.

NOT COOL. I lined up those wires and it $@#$ something up. Nothing would turn on...NO lights, no nothing!!!! I unplugged the negative battery terminal and i guess it reset the ecu but i dont even know what kind of damage it might have done.

At least let me know what might have happened. i moved the wire back to where it was, and after i reset the ecu it wouldnt let me go over 3000 rpms. so i unplugged the negative batt longer and now it seems to be almost back to normal.
