Default CRV engine into a 6 gen Civic??

Would it be a straight forward job to fit the B20B from a CRV into a 6 gen Civic?
Can i use the B16A intake manifold, gearbox, headers with the B20B?
Are there any performance parts available for the B20B?

i read somewhere that you can put an LS intake manifold on the CRV motor...well you HAVE to because the CRV manifold is so bug it porbably won't fit under the hood of the civic. the tranny header and all the other stuff will fit the B20 because all of the other parts are from a B-series motor...the B20 is also a B-series motor...so they fit. http://www.crvtec.com

It's not straight forward, but it's a good swap for the 6g.

You'll need to use the LS manifold, or Skunk2 ITR/LS manifold.

The Transmission is different too. The CRV uses a cable shifter, and your civic uses a linkage shifter. So you'll need a 94+ Hydro tranny.

The headers will work, but you'll need to use the CRV cat and modify the exhuast piping to fit properly.

Its like doing an LS swap..use an LS intake manifold, LS ECU and your choice of hydro tranny...preferably GSR or SI tranny.

Thank you guys, i have a better picture now.
There aren't too many LS around here, can i use more Si (SiR) parts?
Which ECUs can i use in this case?

BTW is the B20B VTEC?

Can i use a b16a head, any benefits?

Peace

use the ls or crv ecu. yes you can use the v-tec head...not worth it. just get some cams and port the head yourself or put a turbo for satisfactory results. the b20b is not v-tec. there aren't any factory b20 vtecs.
