Default ???Crank Angle/flux Sensor???

Ok i am doing a b18b swap but the head is obd2 and the block is obd1 and i know basically the only thing missing is this crank angle sensor that obd2 blocks have. My question is should i attempt to buy that sensor or will i be straight without it?
BTW.....i am using my stock 00 dxy8 wiring harness and have a obd2 ls harness in the garage if that helps??

Help a brotha out!!!

I'm not 100% sure, but I was told me that it all depends on your ecu. I believe most if not all obd2 ecus look for the crank angle sensor thingies. I'm running an OBD2 engine w/a p28 w/o the crank sensor. Hope that helps.

By the way, I have the crank angle senor w/the wheel trigger thingie if you need one.

Oh one last thing, you might need a knock sensor too if the obd1 block didnt come with one.

No, it doesn't. What ECU are you using?

If you're using an OBD2 ECU, then yes you will need to install the CKF sensor.

obd1 p75 using a conversion harness. I know for a fact i can use the D16 harness just zip tie the vtec wires outta the way and convert to obd1 with a conversion harness plug in the obd1 ecu and done.

Since OBD1 ECUs don't look for the CKF, you're golden. Your plan sounds on point as well.
