Cost of a K series swap on EK?
So im thinking about going K series.
But how much does is it going to cost me?
K20a2 for everything from HMO is $4,000 plus shipping and handling
K24 long block is $900.. plus everything else?? a lot?
But if i spend 4K on the K20a2..
What other parts do i have to buy?
mounts? fabrication?
Any information will help
thank you

Not to mention fluids, head gasket, timing belt since the block head are off.
So roughly 7000.00 just for the parts needed maybe a little more. If you did ALL the work yourself that wouldn't be so bad.

is never enough...
the k24 block for 900+ should be a long block which has timing chain etc. but its sooo easy to go overboard... lol 230/166 wasn't enough for me & once you get up there I can suggest a new clutch & flywheel
you'll want an aftermarket or atleast B-series rad... tuning LOTS of tuning... lol axles too if you go cheap you might be going home early (i did - hasport stg1 broke 1st week, go oem combo or dss 2.9-3) you'll need a LSD unless you like spinning one wheel & understeering thru tight turns (500-900)
hasport ekk2 mounts require eg/dc steering rack, crossmember & LCA's, not to mention sway bar
exhaust too - 3" **** aint cheap
hope you have suspension to handle & brakes to stop
lats but not least a cluster w/a tach
is never enough...

Do you change a lot of K-Series timing belts?

No sure don't. can't say as I have worked on many. Broke in a few before I came to my senses that the local dealership doesn't and won't pay enough for good help. I order parts online they are so shitty here.
