Converting to Coil Packs Possible?

Converting to Coil Packs Possible?
So I was thinking, is it possible to switch to coil packs? What to get rid of the distributor. I know it sounds odd but what does the k20 consist of in the ignition. I only problem i could think of that might be a problem is the tach (RPM). Where is that connection on the k20? also might need a converter?

Re: Converting to Coil Packs Possible?
first off what car are you talking about out of curiosity.
any honda with a dizzy has 1 coil driver. it isnt possible given just the ecu.
there was a person on a thread i cant find, that had an add on module from one of the japanese manufacturers, blitz hks etc cant remember which one, but the price was way out there.
what are you trying to do?
i made over 700 with a stock dizzy with just an ign box and coil upgrade.

In the end it's big bucks for a bit more power over a distributor setup, or just to be different. I wouldn't do it unless I already had the EMS and was building a new engine setup from scratch.
