Default Confused!!!! Obd0 B16 swap into Obd2 civic (distributor) need HELP!!!

I was searching and i came across a thread that said you cannot put a obd2 distro into a obd0 engine. I thought if you weren't going to keep the obd0 distributor and repin it, all you would have to do is to change out the dist.

Am i correct or wrong?

what i was planning to do was to switch the injectors, intake mani, t/b, and oil pump (to keep the crank angle sensor) all to obd2 ( as well as the distributor) and run a obd2-obd1 coversion harness to run a chipped p28.

Then i came accross this thread

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=743609

anyone have any answers?

You can run either a obd I or II B series vtec distributor with a P28 ecu. Just make sure all your wires are hooked up properly because they both have different plugs on them.

The distributor must match the trigger for the ecu. OBD1/2 ecus run OBD1/2 distributors. OBD0 ecus must run the OBD0 distributor.

I guess i read that post wrong then. I knew i wasn't going crazy.

Now about he plug connections would have to do anything to the Bseries obd-2 distributor plug to connect it to the harness from my car?

Is it just plug -n- play?

The connectors are not the same. You will have to change out the connectors, depin, etc.
