Comparison of B20b and B18c throttle bodies...
1997 usdm B20b on the left, 1999 usdm B18c1 on the right.
The B20b throttle plate measured 56mm. The B18c 1 throttle plate measured 62mm.

I have a '99 B20Z...I measured the inner diameter of the throttle body where it connected to the intake manifold and it was 61 mm....where the intake tube connected: 62 mm. I don't know how much bigger or smaller the throttle plate would be...

Throttle plate size = inner diameter closest to intake manifold.
B20z probably isn't too small to use, but 56mm sucks! BTW, this B20b was an auto (if it matters).

My B20Z was an auto as well...the B20Bs must be even more hindered than the B20Zs

my '96 jdm b20b has a 60mm minimum tb bore - measured right at the throttle plate with a telescoping gauge and a 100$ dial caliper. The intake mani port is a shade over 62 mm. Looking forward to slapping on my 62mm jg ls tb onto this and then ousting my '90 ls intake mani (the power really sucks).
they say that mani's need the large plenum and short fat runners for higher hp potential. Well, my ls intake mani has a fatter looking plenum, but narrower runners than this crv intake mani
