codes 21, 23 anybody help me out?

we got a b16a in a 89 si added all the wiring from all the info I have read it is done correctly we had a bunch of codes got them all taken care of but we can not get VTEC to work keep getting codes 21 and 23 anybody got any ideas on how to trouble shoot?

code 21 = vtec solenoid

i dont see a listing for code 23 sorry.

Code 23 is the knock sensor. Check to see if you have the knock sensor and the vtec silly backwards. You can check to make sure that the sillynoid is working...hook power up to it...if it clicks then itsa okay.
Vtec silly = A8
Knock sensor = B19
