Default Civic Knuckle + Integra Calipers = Happy?

Long story short, I have a lot of busted **** lying around... Is it possible to either grind the caliper mount down or use a spacer behind the rotor to make this setup work? I'd rather grind as I don't like the idea of not having the rotor sit against the hub. If so, will it also be alright to use the Civic hubs (slightly smaller in diameter)?

TIA!

dont think so.

I believe the bolt centers are farther apart on the 10" rotor'd civic si + integra caliper mounting bracket in comparison to the smaller 9" rotor setups on civics with rear drums.

i'll have to take a look at the bolt centers, at first glance they looked the same... if they are the same though, anyone know it'll work?

bolt centers will line up with a little grinding of the mounting bracket, no biggie there. i guess that just leaves me with grinding the mounting face of the caliper bracket to put more space in between it and the rotor.

any objections/thoughts/concerns?

the othjer issue is how far outside the hub center will the new caliper be?

I dunno if it will sweep either rotor in the correct spot....?

good luck you guinea pig

I had a metal fabricator/welder make me up some custom caliper brackets for this very purpose a bunch of years ago. I took 4 caliper brackets (OEM brackets that hold the pads, and mount the slider pins for the caliper), and measured up how much longer the tabs for bolting to the knuckle had to be.

The machinist took both right and both left brackets, and machined a new tab out of one of the brackets, and a slot into the other bracket, and slid the mounting tab into the slot, and welded it up. Voila: OEM caliper bracket to mount 10.3" rotors onto knuckles designed for 9.4" rotors.
